Gaspar Noé
Turns Expresión en Corto Upsidedown

Gaspar Noé, French-Argentine director of the controversial films Irreversible, I Stand Alone and Carne, will be receiving recognition as a Break-Out filmmaker and representing the Spotlight Country France during the Expresión en Corto International Film Festival in Guanajuato Capital.
The ceremonies will take place on Thursday, July 27th at 9:00pm in the Auditorio del Estado.
Mr. Noé will be on hand to accept the recognition himself and present his break-through film “Irreversible” to our audience.
Mr. Noé will also take part in our Break-Through discussion panel, along with Carlos Reygadas (Japón, Batalla en el cielo) and representatives of Luis Buñuel (Tierra sin pan, Los olvidados) and Teo Hernández (Maya, Thé au bois) on Friday, July 29th from 1:00 – 3:00pm in the Auditorio Chico.
For those of you that have never seen Irreversible, I strongly suggest you wait until you see it on the big screen! The film’s infamous reputation precedes itself—and is considered by some critics to be unwatchable—while others consider it the watermark of a true genius. You be the judge! |
