Tim Burton, director of the films Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, A Nightmare Before Christmas (creador), Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride and the upcoming Sweeney Todd, will receive a Tribute during Expresión en Corto 2007 and give a Master's Class regarding his life, his career and his work.

For the Tribute (as well as the Inaugural Ceremonies, the Latin American Premiere of "La Misma Luna" the Closing & Awards Ceremonies) they will be charging $50.00 pesos per ticket, which goes towards the prize for Best Méxican Short Film. All of the other screenings, activities and events during the festival are free to the public.

Very popular events such as Tim Burton's Master's Class have a limited capacity of less than 2,000. There will be no tickets but the organizers strongly recommend that you arrive early to the Auditorio del Estado (before the first screening of the day at 9:00am) to guarantee your entry and seat.
