El sonido de los Sonik Guru’s es muy ecléctico. Es una verdadera fusión de culturas dentro de un contexto electrónico, técnicas modernas de producción y filosofías de música dance. Fusionándose lo antiguo y futurista, combinando elementos de música asiática folklórica tradicional, Bollywood, Bhangra y música de veneración con elementos tales como drum ‘n bass, breakbeat, música experimental, house, jazz, funk, hip hop, soul, reggae, música latinoamericana y cualquier otra cosa que funcione. No tiene límites y es un experimento viviente. La música no debería tener limitaciones o fronteras – esa es la filosofía del sonido de Sonik Gurus.

Sonik Gurus' sound is very eclectic. It's a true fusion of cultures within a context of electronics, modern production techniques and dance music philosophies. They call it Bumbershoot, a colloquial term for umbrella, probably coined in the 19th century as a portmanteau of umbrella and parachute.

Smiling couples and families were strolling around the Jardín de la Union; Guanajuato’s beautifully gardened main square. Live music filled the air. It was the weekend of the Cervantino, an internationally recognized performing arts festival. Everyone was having a good time except William. Finally he shoved his phone card into its slot and dialed the New York number, dreading every minute of it.
